Two Laws, One Obligation

Deadline: May 2027Litigation figures: 2025 federal & state court web-accessibility filings (EcomBack / UsableNet annual reports). Most dental practices are first contacted by demand letter, which settles privately and never appears in court counts.
Demand letter arrives
A law firm or serial plaintiff finds your site in a bulk scan. No prior complaint or patient relationship required.
15–30 days to respond
A short window to settle quietly — or it escalates. Ignoring it is the most expensive option.
Suit filed + fees stack
Settlement ($4K–$15K), your attorney fees, theirs, and remediation done under deadline pressure.
“We installed an accessibility widget — we’re covered.”
22.6% of 2025 lawsuits targeted sites that had a widget installed. Overlays don’t make a site compliant, and courts know it.
“No patient has ever complained.”
Tester plaintiffs don’t have to be your patients — or have any intent to become one. A bulk scanner flagging your site is enough to file.
“We’re too small to be a target.”
Small and mid-sized practices are the majority of defendants. Nearly half of 2025 federal cases hit businesses that had already been sued once.
There’s no federal “certification” or safe harbor — any vendor selling a guarantee is overpromising. What strengthens your position is documented good-faith remediation: the barriers actually removed at the code level, with a record to show for it. A widget hides problems; remediation removes them.

What We Audit
Multiple automated engines cross-reference every WCAG 2.1 AA requirement — rule scanners, real-browser interaction testing, and an AI layer that flags issues automated tools miss. Hands-on code remediation is available as a separate service.
Automated WCAG Scan
Industry-standard rule engine. Catches programmatic violations: missing labels, contrast failures, ARIA errors, keyboard traps.
Accessibility Score
Google's audit suite produces a 0–100 score and structured violation inventory tied to WCAG success criteria — desktop and mobile.
Error & Contrast Inventory
WebAIM's engine adds an independent count of errors, alerts, and contrast failures to cross-check the other scanners.
Real-Browser Interaction
Keyboard reachability and focus-visibility testing in a real Chromium browser — the operability automated rules can't see.
Vision + Code Analysis
An AI layer reviews each page's screenshot and code to flag issues rule engines miss, then ranks and themes them. (Full audit.)
What a Critical Finding Looks Like
Insufficient color contrast ratio
Text fails WCAG AA 4.5:1 ratio on 8 elements. Screen reader users and users with low vision cannot read this content reliably. Legal exposure under ADA Title III.
Images missing descriptive alt text
Seven images have empty or missing alt attributes. Screen readers skip these entirely, creating an inaccessible experience for blind users.
Form inputs missing accessible labels
Contact form fields are not programmatically associated with labels. VoiceOver and NVDA cannot identify the purpose of these fields.
